In becoming a member of Easton Collaborative Theatre, I agree to:
Come to ALL rehearsals and performances on time and be prepared for my role.
Contact the Director as early as possible (before 4PM on the day of rehearsal) if I am sick and cannot come to rehearsal. If I have a speaking role, I will contact my counterpart in the other cast and ask them to fill in for me. All absences from rehearsal, other than due to illness, must be pre-approved by the Director. Unexcused absences can result in the loss of my role without refund of the participation fee and I may be ineligible for future productions.
Behave professionally while at rehearsals, refrain from loud, disruptive behavior, and be considerate to the other actors.
Follow the instructions given by the Director, Creative Team, Parent Volunteers.
Allow photos and recordings of the show authorized by ECT to be distributed.
Make a commitment to the other members of the theatre company to put my very best effort into making this the best show possible.
Participation Fees are non-refundable once an actor has completed the actors contract.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
Please read the above agreement. In signing this form, you are also agreeing to the following.
That your actor will be present for all rehearsals unless they are ill, in which case you will notify the director before the rehearsal. Even one actor’s absence can affect the ability of the other actors to rehearse their parts effectively. PLEASE NOTE: If an actor is deemed to be unprepared due to missed rehearsals, Easton Collaborative Theatre may choose to replace that actor with an alternate if an alternate is available. This is done out of fairness to those actors who attend all the rehearsals, and to ensure that everyone is properly prepared for the performances.
You agree that photos and recordings of your actor may be taken and distributed as authorized by Easton Collaborative Theatre.
Recurring absences can result in an actor not being allowed to participate in this or future productions. Any payments/fees are not refundable.
Recurring disruptive behavior, including bullying in person or via social media, can result in a notification to the parent/guardian. Multiple notifications can result in additional actions up to and including dismissal from the program. Any payments/fees are not refundable.
PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Make sure your student arrives on time for and is picked up promptly at the end of every rehearsal.
Help your student learn their lines or lyrics.
Be sure your student has any clothing or make-up items needed for their part. Costumes may be different as a result of COVID. You may be asked to provide items from home so there is less need for sharing.
Be available and willing to help on whatever production committee you have been assigned to. Attend rehearsals and performances you have been assigned to. We rely heavily on our family volunteers and the show can’t go on unless every family helps out.
HOW TO "RUN LINES": The actor reads through the scene they are in.
You read the lines leading up to their lines (these are called the "cues")
The actor tries to say their line. If they can't remember it, provide the first 2-3 words. If they still can't remember, read the whole line and then the actor should repeat it.
ABOUT REHEARSAL TIMES: Times listed on the schedule are approximate. The ending times may vary from the times listed. Actors must stay until they have completed all their scenes and are no longer needed. Coming late to a rehearsal throws everyone’s schedule off. Please be considerate, thank you!
Easton Collaborative Theatre supports an inclusive environment. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, disability, color, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

In signing this agreement, I acknowledge and represent that I have read it, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed on this date indicated below.
IMPORTANT COVID INFORMATION FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
In an effort to reduce COVID transmission and keep everyone as safe as possible, our COVID policies and procedures are as follows:
For rehearsals/performances: we will continually monitor guidance and update our policies as needed. Updated policies will be posted on eastontheatre.org
We encourage vaccination for our participants.
We ask if your child is experiencing any COVID-like symptoms to please stay home from rehearsal and notify our director before 4 PM on the rehearsal day. If you have a speaking role, please call your counterpart in the other cast and ask them to cover for you.
